NCERT-CIET and Google to Launch Professional Development Course on DIKSHA Portal
NCERT and CIET have collaborated with Google for Education to launch a professional development course, "AI in Education: Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready India" on the DIKSHA portal. The program aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), a constituent unit of NCERT, has launched a new professional development course with Google for Education on the DIKSHA portal. The course is called “AI in Education: Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready India” and the announcement was made via X post, listing the skills students will be able to impart from the course.
The “Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing (DIKSHA): AI in Education: Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready India” portal will allow students to seamlessly apply for the online course and learn industry-relevant skills useful in the job market.
The skills learned in the course will include:
- Prompt Crafting
- AI Evaluation Framework
- Automated Differentiation
- Grounded Content with NotebookLM

AI in Education Course Details
The ‘AI in Education’ course is designed for Continuous Professional Development. It includes training and learning of two important tools: Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, to supercharge planning, and NotebookLM, used to create grounded, citation-backed resources from participants’ materials.
The registration for the course will be done by using the link available or by scanning the provided QR Code in the X post.
