The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur will close the application window for Undergraduate programs through the ‘Olympiad’ channel on June 15, 2026 by 5 PM. The examination will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at IIT Kanpur. The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The official notification reads, “The Admission window will run from 25-May-2026 (14:00 PM) to 15-June-2026 (17:00 PM). Any application submitted outside of this window will be erased and nullified.”

How to Apply for IIT Kanpur Olympiad UG Admission 2026-27?
Candidates will need to follow the mentioned steps to apply online for Kanpur Olympiad UG Admission 2026-27:
- Register online on the Olympiad portal.
- After registration use your credentials to log-in to the system.
- Your registered email id will be the user-name to enter IIT Kanpur Registration Portal.
- Enter a Strong password (at least 6 characters).
- Enter the correct First Name, Middle Name and Last Name, Email address and Date of Birth while registering to the IIT Kanpur UG Admission portal. The same data would be used by the system while filling your personal details.
- After the successful submission of the form, candidates need to pay the fees online. Applications without the payment will be rejected. The bank charges if any will have to be borne by the candidate.
- After making the payment, please make sure that the Payment Status is complete. In case of any discrepancy please contact automation@iitk.ac.in.
- At least one preference is mandatory while filling up the Program Selection.
- Candidates need to upload all the relevant documents at the time of submission. The system only accepts PDF files (max 2MB Size) for documents and .jpg/.png files (max 500Kb) for photographs.
