DU 102nd Convocation: Over 1.2 Lakh Degrees Awarded, Digital Degrees Launched

The University of Delhi marked a major academic milestone with its 102nd Convocation Ceremony, awarding over 1.2 lakh degrees to graduates across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The grand event celebrated academic excellence while also signalling the institution’s continued push towards digital transformation in higher education. The Chief Guest of the 102nd Convocation Ceremony was the Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan.

The convocation ceremony brought together top university officials, faculty members, scholars and proud families as students received their hard-earned qualifications. Along with regular graduates, students from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) were also conferred degrees, reflecting theuniversity’s inclusive academic framework.

DU Launches Digital Certificates at 102nd Convocation

One of the key highlights of the 102nd Convocation of the University of Delhi was the launch of digital degree certificates. 

• With this initiative, Delhi University aims to streamline verification processes, enhance accessibility, and reduce administrative delays for graduates applying for jobs or higher education opportunities.

• This move aligns with the broader national vision of integrating technology into governance and education systems

• Digital certificates are expected to offer a secure, tamper-proof academic record that can be accessed globally, benefitting students pursuing international careers or academic pathways.

To Performers and Meritorious Students Felicitated 

In addition to awarding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, hundreds of doctoral candidates were also awarded across various disciplines, including Arts, Commerce, Science and Social Sciences.

• The convocation also recognised meritorious students with gold medals and special prizes for outstanding academic performance.

• The convocation ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, with graduates stepping into a new chapter of professional and academic pursuits.

With over a century of academic legacy, Delhi University’s 102nd Convocation not only honoured scholarly achievements but also underscored its commitment to innovation, inclusivity and excellence in higher education.
