CUET UG and BCECE 2026 Exam Dates Clash: Students Demand Schedule Change

The academic future of thousands of aspirants in Bihar depends on the dates of the exam, as a significant scheduling conflict has emerged between two major entrance examinations. The common University Entrance Test, CUET UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency, NTA, and the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, BCECE, are reportedly set to take place on overlapping dates. This clash has created immense pressure on students who intend to apply for both central universities across India and professional technical courses within Bihar. 

For many, these exams present the only gateway to affordable higher education in fields like Agriculture, Nursing, and Pharmacy. With both exams scheduled close to each other, students are worried about the impossibility of appearing for both exams, especially if exam centres are located in different cities.

Students Raise Request For Revised Exam Schedule

Social media platforms are currently flooded with requests from Bihar students, which are directed towards the NTA and the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, BCECEB. The primary demand is a strategic gap between the two papers or a slight postponement of the state-level exam to accommodate national schedules.

Education experts also suggest that such clashes not only increase mental stress but also lead to a drop in attendance for state exams, as students often prioritise the national-level CUET. As of now, official notifications regarding a date change are awaited.
