Andhra Pradesh Government Announces Free Bus Rides for NEET UG candidates on June 21

Students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 examination in Andhra Pradesh on June 21 will be able to travel free of cost on APSRTC buses, according to an announcement made by state Transport Minister M Ramprasad Reddy. This initiative aims to make travel easier for students and ensure they can reach their exam center on time without worrying about transportation cost.
To use this facility students only need to show their NEET UG admit card or hall ticket while boarding the bus. The hall ticket will act as proof of eligibility for the free ride so candidates are advised to keep it with them throughout the journey.
With a large number of students expected to appear for the medical entrance exam across Andhra Pradesh, APSRTC is also making special travel arrangements for the day. The minister said that extra buses will be operated in areas where demand is likely to be high. This will be especially helpful for students travelling from rural and remote areas to their examination centres. The primary objective is to help candidates travel smoothly across the state and prevent any last minute transportation issues.
Extra Support for NEET Candidates Across States
The Andhra Pradesh government has advised NEET UG 2026 candidates to plan their tavel beforehand and take advantage of the free APSRTC bus service to avoid delays on exam day. Other states such as Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar and Odhisha have also announced travel assistance for the medical aspirants. Punjab has extended the benefit to one accompanying guardian as well.
NEET UG is among the largest entrance exams in the country held for admissions to MBBS, BDS programmes. Travel support helps candidates reach their exam centre comfortably and focus on the test.Students in Andhra Pradesh are advised to keep their hall ticket with them and make use of free bus facility for a hassle free journey.
