What is APAAR ID?
The APAAR initiative is aligned with NEP 2020, which aims to provide every student a secure, portable and lifelong academic identity, enabling seamless integration of academic records, improved student mobility and efficient, transparent governance.
How to create APAAR ID in DigiLocker?
To create an APAAR ID, students can use the DigiLocker app and/or website. They will need to follow the mentioned steps to create an online education repository which will have a lifetime validity:
- Visit the official DigiLocker Website or download the app.
- Sign up using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Go to the "Search Documents" section and look for "Academic Bank of Credits".
- Select "APAAR/ABC ID Card"
- Enter your academic details to generate it.
- The 12-digit APAAR/ABC ID card will be generated.
- Save it to your Issued Documents section as a PDF.
