George Walker Bush was born on 06 July 1946, New Haven, Connecticut, the United States. He was brought up in a political family. His father George H. W. Bush became the 41st President of the United States.

Bush spent the better part of his childhood in Texas where his family had relocated at an early age. 

He attended Phillips Academy in Massachusetts and then he migrated to Yale University where he graduated in history in 1968.

Bush joined the Texas Air National Guard after doing his studies. He continued to attain a higher education and got a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Harvard Business School in 1975.

He then started the Texas oil and energy business and became one of the co-owners of the Texas Rangers baseball team. His exposure to business and sports served to develop his profile to the masses prior to his political career.

In 1977, George W. Bush got married to Laura Welch Bush. The future first lady of the United States was Laura Bush who was an ardent activist in promoting education and literacy programs.

Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush are twin daughters of the couple and were born in 1981.
