LPG ATM: Gurgaon has introduced India's first LPG ATM, an automated vending machine launched by Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) at Central Park Flower Valley which will be an open 24/7 facility allowing users to exchange empty cylinders for filled ones in under two minutes using a digital, contactless process.

It specifically dispenses lightweight, transparent composite cylinders, providing a safer and more convenient alternative to traditional home delivery. The days of waiting for hours for a gas delivery truck or planning your schedule around a delivery person are becoming a thing of the past.

In a significant leap toward "Smart City" living, Gurgaon has launched India’s first LPG ATM. This automated vending machine is designed to provide residents with 24/7 access to cooking gas, making the process as simple as withdrawing cash from a bank.

Installed as a pilot project by Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), this "Bharatgas Insta LPG" machine is currently serving residents in Sector 33, Sohna, and is set to change how we think about fuel accessibility.

What is an LPG ATM?

An LPG ATM is an automated, self-service vending machine that allows consumers to exchange an empty gas cylinder for a filled one instantly. Unlike traditional distribution where you book a refill and wait for delivery, the LPG ATM is a "Point of Sale" (POS) system that works around the clock.

• Composite Cylinders: It dispenses modern, lightweight, and rust-free composite cylinders (approx. 15kg total weight) instead of heavy steel ones.

• Smart Monitoring: The machine automatically alerts the gas agency when its stock is low, ensuring it is always replenished.

How Does the LPG ATM Work?

The LPG ATM is designed for simplicity and speed. The entire exchange process takes only 2 to 3 minutes. If you have a registered Bharatgas composite cylinder connection, here is how you can use it:

1. Identity Verification: Enter your registered mobile number on the machine’s touchscreen interface.

2. OTP Authentication: You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your phone; enter it to verify your account.

3. Cylinder Scanning: Scan the barcode or QR code located on your empty composite cylinder.

4. Digital Payment: Pay for the refill using convenient digital methods like UPI or a Debit Card.

5. Instant Exchange: Once the payment is successful, the machine’s shutter opens. You place your empty cylinder inside, and the machine automatically dispenses a fresh, filled cylinder.
