TNEA Rank List 2025: The TNEA 2025 Round 1 rank list is out on tneaonline.org. Using their email address and password, candidates can see their rank cards, which display their scores and categories. Admission to the BTech programs at Anna University is decided by this list, which is based on Class 12 PCM scores. There are no dates set for counseling.

TNEA Rank List 2025: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2025 rank list for round 1 has been released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) on its official website, tneaonline.org. Candidates' email address and password are required to access the TNEA 2025 rank card.Candidates' overall rank, application number, name, birthdate, total points out of 200, category, and rank are all included in the TNEA 2025 ranking.

Based on their grades in Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, candidates will be assigned seats. Notably, grades in physics and chemistry will be converted out of 50, and grades in mathematics will be transformed out of 100. The TNEA 2025 rank list will determine the candidates’ admission to BTech courses at various departments and colleges of the Anna University for the academic year 2025-26.

TNEA 2025 rank list live: What is the use of the random numbers?

All the TNEA counselling applicants were assigned a random number for the tiebreaker. If all other tie-breaking criteria for determining rank in the TNEA merit list are unsuccessful, a 10-digit random number has been assigned to each applicant to break the ties. The candidate with the higher value of the random number has been given preference in the merit list.

TNEA 2025 Counselling Process

TNEA 2025 counselling includes the following steps:

  1. Choice Filling: Candidates will have to exercise their choices of colleges and branches based on their preferences. The order of choices is important and a candidate can exercise any number of choices.
  2. Seat Allotment: Candidates' allotment will be based on the preferential order of choices according to their rank, community and availability of seats.
  3. Confirmation of Allotment: Candidates allotted seats have to confirm the seats within the given time frame. 
  4. Download provisional allotment and Report to College/TFC: The candidates who confirm their seats have to then visit the allotted college/TFC after they download the provisional allotment letter.

TNEA 2025 counselling rank list released; how to find your rank in TNEA rank list?

  • Open the PDF of the rank list.
  • Now, hit the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F.
  • The screen will display a search bar.
  • Enter your TNEA application number in the search bar.
  • On the rank list PDF, the application number you entered will be marked.
  • You can check your TNEA rank, grades, and other information by going to the highlighted page. 

TNEA 2025 Rank List Out LIVE: How cut-off is calculated?

Candidates will be given admissions into Tamil Nadu engineering colleges on the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Class 12 exams. The cut-off for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2025 (TNEA) will be calculated for a total of 200 marks.

For instance, if a candidate scores 100 marks in Mathematics, 95 in Physics and 90 in Chemistry, the TNEA cut-off will be calculated as per the table given below.

The maximum cutoff possible is 200 marks.

3. Example Calculation

Maths = 100, Physics = 90, Chemistry = 80 → Cutoff = 100/2 + 90/4 + 80/4 = 50 + 22.5 + 20 = 92.5

This is the normalized cutoff score used for merit ranking.

TNEA Rank List 2025

On tneaonline.org, the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2025 rank list (TNEA) has been released. The application number, name, Certificate Verification status (CV), and reason for ineligibility of each candidate are all included in the rank list. 

TNEA Rank List 2025: More than 8,000 eligible for BTech admissions

Visit tneaonline.org to view the TNEA 2025 Rank List. Approximately 8,657 applicants are not qualified for engineering admissions based on the rank list; they may file grievances between June 28 and July 2, 2025.

Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their marks in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics subjects of Class 12. Notably, the marks obtained in mathematics will be converted out of 100, and physics and chemistry out of 50
