The final countdown has begun! With only 30 minutes until the JEE Main 2026 Session 2, Shift 1 exam starts, the gates to all examination centers have been officially and strictly closed. Candidates were advised to ensure that their Aadhaar biometric authentication is not locked on the day of JEE Main exam. This is essential to facilitate a smooth and |uninterrupted Aadhaar-based biometric verification process at the designated examination centres.

1. NTA strictly prohibits electronic gadgets phones, smartwatches, calculators and unauthorized material.
2. Candidates must arrive on time; late entry is forbidden.
3. Avoid applying anything like mehendi to fingers that could obstruct biometric scanning.
4. Do not wear heavy jewelry, caps, sunglasses, or metallic clothing.
5. Any form of unfair means or rule violation will result in immediate disqualification and severe action.

No. Any kind of calculator - virtual or physical - is not allowed at the JEE Main exam centres. 

Candidates for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2, Day 1, Shift 1 examination have only 45 minutes to start the paper and concludes at 12:00 PM IST. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination center after the gate closure time, regardless of the reason (e.g., traffic, public transport issues, personal delays). Candidates must arrive at the center well in advance of the reporting time.

The JEE Mains 2026 session 2 exam will be held in two shifts per day:

• Shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.
• Shift 2 will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Candidates should not carry the following items to the JEE Mains session 2 centre:

• Stationery
• ID Cards
• Eatables
• Electronics/Gadgets
• Handbags

Maths- 3d and vectors, ellipses, circles, AP, GP, Matrix, differential equations, limit, quadratic equation, conic sections, sets & relations, and integration.

Physics- Ray optics, electrostatics, semiconductors, SHM, current electricity, rotation, moment of inertia, fluid mechanics, Potentiometer, vernier calliper, and thermodynamics.

Chemistry- General Organic Chemistry (GOC), Biomolecules, Amines, Hydrocarbons, Coordination Compounds, Chemical Bonding, P-Block and D & F-Block Elements, Qualitative Analysis, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Ionic Equilibrium, Structure of Atom, Solutions.

• Punctuality: Arrive at the test centre a minimum of one hour before the reporting time specified on your JEE Main 2026 admit card.
• Documentation: Ensure you bring your admit card, a valid photo ID, and all other mandatory documents.
• Prohibited Items: Do not bring any restricted items, including but not limited to, notes, electronic devices, or calculators.
• Dress Code: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code for the examination.

Instead of covering everything again, revise the selective and important chapters. This will save time and improve your confidence before the exam.

There is no specific dress code for JEE Mains, but students should wear simple and comfortable clothes. Avoid wearing heavy jewellery, watches, or accessories. Choose simple footwear. This makes the entry process smoother at the exam centre and helps prevent delays.
