DU VC Internship 2026: The University of Delhi (DU) has officially announced an extension for the application deadline of its prestigious Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme (VCIS) – Summer Internship 2026. The institution has moved the deadline from April 27 to April 30, 2026, giving qualified candidates who might have missed the original cutoff a critical window. Candidates who are interested must apply via the official Dean Students' Welfare (DSW) portal. During the summer break months of June and July, students can collaborate directly with different university departments and institutions through this flagship program, which aims to combine academic learning with administrative and professional experience. 

Due to its good compensation and professional significance, the internship is widely sought after. Selected interns are entitled to a monthly stipend of ₹11,576 for a commitment of 20 hours per week. Candidates must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs at the University of Delhi on a regular basis in order to be eligible. 

It's crucial to remember that students who are in their final semester or year cannot apply. A properly stamped and signed Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the student's principal or department head is an essential part of the application. To apply for the DU Vice Chancellor Summer Internship 2026, follow these steps:

• Visit the official DSW website at dsw.du.ac.in to access the portal.

• From the internship notification link, get the necessary Letter of Recommendation format.

• Obtain the official document's signature from your department head or principal.

• To upload, scan your current college ID card and signed recommendation letter.

• Provide accurate personal and academic information when completing the online application.

• Before the final date of April 30, 2026, submit your entire application.

DU VC Summer Internship 2026: Eligibility & Application Process 

• Who Can Apply: All regular bonafide undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students of the University of Delhi. 

• Who Is Not Eligible: This program is not available to students who are in their final year or semester.  

• Required Documents: On or after April 13, 2026, applicants must upload a properly stamped and signed Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from their Principal or Head of Department (HoD).  

• Selection Criteria: The application details, the LoR, and a follow-up interview or group discussion will all be taken into consideration.
