CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted a webcast for class 10th and 12th board exam students today, February 13, 2026. It discussed the CBSE exam guidelines 2026 on screen marking system (OSM) for class 12 board exam students. The webcast also announced the revised CBSE exam guidelines 2026 for both class 10 and 12 students. 

CBSE Board 2026 Exam Guidelines for Class 12 Students 

The board released data showing that typically, over 18 lakh students take the class 12 board exams in 120 subjects, resulting in more than 1 crore answer books. With the new digital ‘on-screen marking’ checking of CBSE class 12 answer sheets for 2026, the time for transporting and checking the papers is expected to be cut by two-thirds.   • Time would be saved as the automated coordination will demand least human intervention and speed up evaluation due to wider teacher participation, and transportation time and cost will be saved.
  • The evaluation process will be reduced to 9 days, from 12 days.
  • However, there will be no verification of marks after the declaration of results.

CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exam Advisory

All students must arrive at the examination centre by 10:00 am, as the exam starts at 10:30 am. Be aware that traffic delays, diversions, and congestion are expected due to important events. Students should visit the centre beforehand and plan their travel to ensure they are on time for all exams.
