Assam HSLC Re-Admission 2026: The Assam State School Education Board, Division-1, has issued an official notification regarding the class 10 admission of failed students. As per the notification, students who have failed their HSLC examination and wish to continue their studies are required to take re-admission in class 10. Re-admissions are mandatory for such students to be allowed to appear for the subsequent exams.

Students can take admission in the same schools from which they appeared in the HSLC Examination 2026. If the school is not in a position to offer re-admission, students may take admission in any other school within the same centre from where they appeared in the HSLC Examination 2026.

There will be no change in the registration number. Students will have to appear in the subsequent examination with the same registration number.

Students are allowed to change an elective subject if they want to, but it has to be done before the half-yearly examination. After the half-yearly examination, a change of subject will not be allowed.

Schools where students will take re-admission are required to make arrangements for assessment of the practical work of the students for the period of study, and they will have to send practical marks/internal assessment marks to ASSEB accordingly.

The students will have to appear compulsorily for the half-yearly examination of class 10; failing which, they will not be allowed to appear in the next Exam.

The head of the institution will supervise the attendance of said students in class and monitor their progress in their studies, and also include them in the Remedial classes according to their needs.

The Re-admission process must be completed by 14th August, 2026
