The most amazing fact is that Abu Dhabi has maintained its position as the world's safest city for the 10th consecutive year.

This study was carried out by Numbeo Doo, a private limited liability company with its headquarters in Serbia.

For the rankings in 2026, around 400 cities were evaluated across 150 countries and judged on the parameters of overall safety, which includes perceived safety during the day and nighttime. 

This further establishes Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in public safety and is accentuated by the fact that the UAE, of which Abu Dhabi is the capital, is also ranked as the safest country in the world.

If we look into the top 10 list, we see that out of the top 6 slots, 5 are of different cities located in the UAE, which is a testament to the highest level of public safety in that country.

Numerous other studies have also placed UAE as one of the safest countries in the world in terms of night time safety.
