SSC CGL Recruitment 2026: The SSC CGL 2026 application window is closing soon on June 22, 2026. the Staff Selection Commission has published the notification for the recruitment of 12,256 Combined Graduate Level (CGL) vacancies and interested candidates are encouraged to apply in different Group B and Group C positions in central government ministries, departments, and organisations. The online applications process commenced from 21st May, 2026 and will continue until 22nd June, 2026 up to 11:00 pm. So candidates who have not yet applied for the position can register themselves on time.

SSC CGL Recruitment: Application Fee

Candidates must pay the Application Fee for SSC CGL 2026. The candidate falling under the General and OBC categories will have to pay Rs. 100. Fee is not to be paid by SC/ST, Women, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen Category Candidates.  Mode of payment of the fee is through online by BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Master Card, Maestro and Rupay Debit Cards. The application fee is non-refundable, and applications that do not contain the application fee will not be considered.

SSC CGL Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfil all the eligibility criteria mentioned below before applying for SSC CGL Recruitment 2026. Please check the criteria carefully to not be disqualified at the time of the selection process:

1. Educational Qualification

• For all positions, a candidate needs to have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.

• For Junior Statistical Posts, candidates will have to fulfill specific conditions like Mathematics in class 12th, a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics, or any other qualification like CA/CMA/MBA (Finance), etc 

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age is 18 years

• Maximum Age is 32 years   

3. Age Relaxation

Eligible candidates fromreserved categories are given some relaxation in the age limit as per government rules. 

4. Nationality

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.

5. Number of Attempts

• There is no limitation in terms of the number of attempts

The SSC CGL 2026 has a total of 12,256 vacancies for different Group B & Group C posts. This time, the vacant posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer have been introduced again with the pay scale of Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100. Some common posts in SSC CGL 2026 include Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Income Tax Inspector, Examiner, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant, and Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). Aspiring candidates belonging to Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, or any other discipline can apply, as long as they fulfil the required eligibility criteria for that particular post.
