The Indian Air Force will close the AFCAT 2 2026 application process on June 19, for 379 vacancies across various branches. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal before 11:30 PM. The AFCAT 2 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on August 8, 2026.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will close the online application process for AFCAT 2 2026 on June 19 2026. Candidates who want to join the Flying Branch/Ground Duty (Technical and Non Technical) branches/NCC Special Entry/Gate Score Entry as commissioned officers must complete their registration before the deadline through the official AFCAT portal. Through AFCAT 02/2026 the Air Force will fill around 379 vacancies across various branches.

Candidates are advised not to wait until the last moment and should complete the application process as soon as possible to avoid any technical issues. The AFCAT 2 2026 examination will be conducted on August 8  2026.

AFCAT 2 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for AFCAT 2 2026 must satisfy the prescribed educational qualifications and age limit as defined by IAF. Check the eligibility criteria below.

  • Educational Qualification—Candidates interested in applying must have graduated in a relevant discipline. Qualification differs as per the branches you are applying for.

  • Age Limit—Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years

                        Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years

AFCAT Recruitment 2026: What’s Next After Registration Ends? 

After the registration process concludes the Indian Air Force is expected to release the AFCAT 2 2026 admit cards in August 2026. The online examination will be conducted on August 8 2026. Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be called for the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview followed by a medical examination and final merit list preparation. Successful candidates will join the training course beginning in July 2027.
