Eligibility Criteria for SSB Tradesman Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification
General Trades (Cook, Washerman, Barber, etc.): Candidates must have done matriculation (10th pass) from a recognised board plus two years of work experience in the respective trade OR a one-year certificate from an ITI with at least one year of experience.
Constable (Driver): Candidates must have passed class 10 with a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (HMV).
Constable (Veterinary): Candidates must have passed 10th grade with Science as a main subject and have one year of experience in treating animals at a recognized Veterinary Hospital.
Age Limit (As of April 20, 2026)
Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years.
Constable (Tradesman): 18 to 23 years.
Constable (Veterinary/Carpenter): 18 to 25 years.
Note: Age relaxation applies will be given as per government norms (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years)
