South East Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur Division, has invited online applications for recruitment under the Apprenticeship Act 1961, Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and Act apprentices. In this recruitment in the Nagpur Division and Motibagh Workshop, a total of 1079 apprentice vacancies are filled in various trades for the year 2026–27.
The official notification was issued on 19th May, 2026, and the online application process also began on the same date. Eligible and interested candidates are eligible to apply through the official apprentice portal till June 18, 2026. Apprenticeship training will be provided to the selected candidates for one year. The application will be accepted only through online mode.

1. Qualifications: Candidates who apply for apprentice posts should be in the age group of 15 to 24 years as of May 19, 2026. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be offered to those who belong to the reserved category as per government norms. The applicants should have passed out of class 10 examination with at least 50 percent aggregate marks and should have an ITI certificate in the respective trade as well.
2. Vacancy: Under this recruitment drive, SECR will fill a total of 1079 apprentice vacancies across various trades.
SECR Nagpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be done on the basis of a merit list prepared by calculating marks obtained in matriculation and ITI examinations in the relevant trade. Candidates who will secure a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in Class 10 along with the prescribed ITI qualification will be considered for the preparation of the merit list.In a scenario where two candidates score similar marks, preference will be given to the applicant who is greater in age. If the age is also identical, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will receive preference.
