CGBSE Class 10 Social Science Question Paper and Answer Key 2026: Download PDF

Class 10 Social Science  exam was conducted today, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, during the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE). The exam tested students' understanding of four major categories- history, geography, political science, and economics. The question paper contained objective-type questions (MCQs, Match the Following, and Fill in the Blanks) and subjective descriptive questions. The exam followed a 75 mark structure, with the remaining 25 points assigned for internal project work and school-based examinations.

CGBSE usually releases the official question papers and model answer keys to its official website, cgbse.nic.in , after the exams are completed in March. • Section A: Objective Type (15 marks)

• Question 1 (A): Five multiple-choice questions.

• Question 1 (C): 5 Match the following.

• Section B: Very Short Answer (10 marks)

• 5 questions worth 2 marks each (word limit: ~30 words).

• Section C: Short Answer (12 marks)

• 4 questions with 3 marks each (word limit: ~50 words).

• Section D: Long Answer - I (16 marks).

• 4 questions with 4 marks each (word limit: ~75 words). Typically, internal alternatives are included.

• Section E: Long Answer II (10 marks)

• Two questions worth 5 marks each (word limit: ~100 words).

• Section F: Long Answer-III (12 Marks)

• There are two 6-mark questions with a word limit of around 150 words each.
