BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern- 12 Additional Questions in Question Paper

In BITSAT 2026, candidates who attempt all 130 questions without skipping any will get an opportunity to answer up to 12 additional questions, provided they have time remaining. These extra questions are meant for high-performing students who wish to improve their scores. However, students must attempt them carefully due to negative marking.

  • Candidates can attempt 12 extra questions only after answering all 130 questions.

  • Extra questions are from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Logical Reasoning (3 questions from each section).

  • Once opted, candidates cannot go back to modify the answers to the original 130 questions.

  • The paper is designed so that well-prepared students can complete 130 questions in 180 minutes.

  • Negative marking applies, so guesswork may reduce the overall score.

BITSAT 2026 Marking Scheme

The BITSAT 2026 exam pattern adheres to a simple and straightforward marking scheme. Typically, the BITSAT comprises objective-type questions. Each question has four answer options, only one of which is correct. Aspirants must remember that solving all the questions is not compulsory. While the test-takers can skip a question, the computer will not permit the test-takers to choose more than one option as the correct response. Check the detailed BITSAT 2026 marking scheme shared below:

  • Each correct answer carries 3 marks.

  • Each incorrect answer attracts a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark).

  • No marks are awarded for unattempted questions.
