Punjab Board Releases School-to-School Transfer Guidelines and Schedule for Academic Session 2026-27

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has issued guidelines for school-to-school online transfer for students studying in classes 8th to 12th during this session 2026–27 at pseb.ac.in. Students can be transferred from school to school only through the Online Fee Payment method according to the prescribed schedule and fee after the last date of admission.

In a notification released by the Registration Branch of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the board has issued guidelines for school-to-school online transfer for students studying in classes 8th to 12th during this session 2026–27. The board has also released the schedule for schools providing this facility without any fee up to the last date of admission. Students can be transferred from school to school only through the Online Fee Payment method according to the prescribed schedule and fee after the last date of admission. Schools have until December 31, 2026 to complete the entire transfer procedure.

PSEB School-to-School Transfer Schedule 

The fee schedule and dates for school-to-school transfer are given below:

Online School-to-School Transfer Procedure for Schools

How to apply for a student seeking admission to a new school?

  1. The student seeking transfer to a new school shall submit an application to that new school.
  2. The new school will click on the 'Apply for Transfer' link under the School Transfer menu.
  3. Under this link, select any one search parameter from Student Unique ID, Registration Number, Government ID Number, or Mobile Number to fill it in.
  4. Click the Search button.
  5. The details of the student will be displayed on the screen. After checking the registration fee status, click the Transfer button under the Choose Action option. 
  6. After clicking the Transfer button, attach the candidate's application under the 'Upload Candidate Application' option, enter the transfer reason under 'Reason of Transfer', and click 'Apply Transfer'.
  7. The list of students applied for transfer can be viewed under the 'Applied List' option in the School Transfer menu. 

Steps for applying to a previous school?

  1. The previous school, after logging in, can view the list of students applied for transfer by clicking on 'Received List' in the School Transfer menu.
  2. Under Choose Action, the previous school will see the option 'Accept/Reject by School'.
  3. If the previous school agrees to the transfer, it will click Accept to give consent; otherwise, the school can select the Reject option.
  4. After selecting Accept/Reject, choose the response under 'Select your response', enter remarks, and click the Submit button.
  5. After acceptance by the previous school, the 'Pay Fee' option will appear under the School Transfer menu in the New School login. 
  6. After successful online payment, the student will be transferred to the new school. The transfer certificate printout can be taken by clicking the 'Print' option in the Applied List (New School) or Received List (Previous School). The student will be shifted to the new school, and details can be checked under the View Inserted Records option of the respective form.

If final submission for registration/continuation of any student in any class has been done by the school and the Declaration has been e-signed by the Principal, and thereafter if the student wishes to change schools, admission can be given only after transferring the student via the online school-to-school transfer process.
