The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test, CET Cell has announced the deadline for candidates seeking to cancel their MHT CET 2026 CAP admission with a full fee refund. According to the official CAP schedule for First Year Engineering B.E./B.Tech as well as M.E./M.Tech programmes, September 13, 2026, is the last date to cancel a seat and receive a full fee refund.

This refund facility is provided under Rule 15 of the information brochure. Candidates who obtained admission through the Centralised Admission Process, CAP and wish to withdraw must complete all cancellation processes by this deadline. Additionally, the final cutoff date for all M.E./M.Tech and B.E./B.Tech admissions is September 14, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The counselling process is in its final phase, with the CET Cell conducting MHT CET institute-level admissions for remaining vacant seats.

How to Cancel MHT CET CAP Admission 2026?

Candidates should follow these below mentioned steps:

  • Contact the institute where admission has been confirmed.
  • Inform the institute that they wish to cancel the admission.
  • Submit the required cancellation request/form as prescribed.
  • Complete any verification or documentation required by the institute.
  • Collect the admission cancellation acknowledgement.
  • Keep copies of fee receipts and other relevant documents.
  • Follow up with the institute regarding the refund.

MHT CET CAP Fee Refund 2026

Students who cancel their admission before the deadline are eligible for a full fee refund under Rule 15 of the information brochure. This option helps students who decide to join another college or course. Candidates should not wait until the final day, they should finish the cancellation process early and keep the receipt as proof.
