Reforming Defense Production at Heavy Industries Taxila
In April 2020, former Major General Raza took charge as Chairman of Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). During this period, he was promoted to Lieutenant General in October 2022 and transformed indigenous defense production in Pakistan.
In particular, during his time at the helm, HIT produced the Haider tank, which is a powerful tank based on the VT-4 Chinese design, on account of a valuable transfer of technology contract, excellent job done by HIT to grow modern armored production capacity in Pakistan.
Moving up in Command: From Lahore Corps to Chief of General Staff
Mr. Raza was promoted to the position of Commander of IV Corps in Lahore in May 2023 due to changes in the national security landscape and the leadership of the army.
