UPESSC Receives 45,000+ UPTET Representations on OMR Bubble Errors & Normalisation Drop, Check Latest Updates

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has been receiving a huge number of complaints on the candidate grievances portal following the declaration of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) results 2026 on August 26, 2026. Official records confirm that the grievance portal of the Commission has received over 45000 formal complaints, highlighting important issues in the OMR sheet evaluation software and score adjustments. In response to the increasing number of complaints on the portal, UPESSC has issued clear guidelines on how the candidates can submit their representation before the deadline from September 10, 2026.

OMR Sheet Bubbling Errors & Normalisation Score Drop Lead To Complaints

A majority of candidate complaints center around automated software rejections and fractional score reductions caused by the newly introduced evaluation methodology:-

• OMR Sheet Bubble Errors:- Thousands of candidates reported that there were minor manual mistakes, such as failing to bubble or incorrectly filling circles for Roll Number, Booklet Series, or Language selection, which led to complete result rejections, despite the candidates writing the correct text entries on the same sheet.
• Normalisation Score Reductions:- A significant number of representations came from applicants who were disqualified by a minute decimal margin (example failing by 0.0033 to 0.5 marks) due to the multiple shift marks normalisation process.
• In-Person and Digital Filing:- Over 10,000 to 12,000 candidates have physically submitted memorandums at the UPESSC Prayagraj office, while thousands of candidates have sent digital representations. 

UPESSC Online Representation Instructions: Complaints to be Submitted by September 10

For a smooth grievance process and to avoid offline crowds at the Prayagraj headquarters, UPESSC Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar has announced that offline representations are no longer being accepted. If there are any complaints, candidates will have to submit them through digital means.

• Candidates will have to submit all representations directly to upesscprayagraj@gmail.com.
• All the digital objections and supporting documents will have to be submitted by September 10, 2026. 
• Candidates will have to mention their roll number, application number, registration ID, specific issue (OMR bubbling error or Normalisation error), and attach relevant supporting documents.

DigiLocker Integration & UP Special TET 

Alongside the grievance handling, UPESSC has also released several important recruitment updates that the candidates should be aware of:-

• The UPTET result link has been removed from the official website after its standard 7-day website hosting window. Official scorecards and eligibility certificates will now be available for download via DigiLocker.
• Online Registration (OTR) for the UP Special TET exam for over 56,000 serving teachers will be started from September 5, 202,6 with the exam to be conducted on November 3, 2026.
• The 5-member special committee appointed by UPESSC is currently auditing candidates' representations to formulate a resolution before finalising official DigiLocker uploads.
