Temporary vs. Contract Work: Temporary and Contract type of jobs are highly demanding nowadays especially for those preparing for the Government sector. Such types of candidates are hired by different Government Organisation especially due to lack of such experts inside the departments and they get paid for their ability to train internal staff. 

Temporary vs. Contract Work: Temporary and Contract type of jobs are highly demanding nowadays especially when there is a lack of permanent type of jobs. If you are government job aspirants preparing for different jobs like Teaching, Data Entry Operator, Assistant, Typist and others you have a better opportunity to get hired in different Government organizations. These government positions are notified regularly in different government organisations/sectors where aspirants have to choose either Temporary or Contract basis.

In most of the recruitment advertisements released by the different Organisation, you will observe that the recruitment notification is marked with either “Temporary” or “On Contracts basis jobs” etc.Superficially, both types of jobs look similar, however there are major differences in both types of employment in terms of flexibility and autonomy, pay and salary, work hours and others.

What Are The Temporary jobs?

Temporary jobs are that type of working environment which are basically hired for limited and short-term requirement. Generally it is based on seasonal demand and candidates have to assist the concerned department for specific tasks or projects. As far as the duration is concerned, aspirants will have to work under such arrangements like full time or part time, as per need.

What Are The Contract Jobs?

Contract Jobs are assumed for the time being position basically hired for short-term employment arrangement for specific project completion or for short term. But such people get hired based on their expertise and professional caliber. Such aspirants are equipped with specific ability and typically experts who remain able to provide a set of skills or subject matter experts.

Candidates applying for such government jobs in any government sector should note that they will be responsible for managing their own taxes, benefits and business expenses for their survival in such working mode. In Contract type jobs, generally employees do not receive company benefits including health insurance, retirement plans and others. So you should be mentally prepare for such things when you are apply for these type of jobs.
