SSC GD Physical Test is a crucial stage for candidates aspiring to join paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, and SSF as General Duty Constables. SSC GD Physical Endurance Test (PET) is conducted to evaluate a candidate’s physical fitness and endurance. SSC GD Running Time
The Staff Selection Commission will soon announce the SSC GD Physical Test Date on its official website. In this stage, candidates will be asked to cover a certain distance within the specified time limit to qualify for the next round. However, it is important to note that the SSC GD running distance and time criteria differ for male and female candidates.
SSC GD Running Time for Male Candidates
As per SSC GD 2025 merit list, a total of 351552 male candidates are eligible to appear for physical endurance test and compete for 48320 vacancies. To clear it, they need to run 1.6km in 8.5 minutes. The SSC GD running time for male candidates belonging to Ladakh region will be required to run 800 meters in 5 minutes.

Tips to Prepare for SSC GD Running Test
- Start Early and Be Consistent: Since SSC GD result and cut off marks are declared, you must begin your running practice. Make it a part of your daily routine to build stamina and improve speed.
- Follow a Proper Training Schedule: Plan a structured schedule that includes long-distance runs, sprints, and interval training. This will help you boost your stamina and speed, helping you to clear SSC GD Constable Physical exam.
- Warm-Ups and Stretching are a must: To reduce the risk of injuries and muscle soreness, always begin your running sessions with proper warm-ups and stretching exercises.
- Monitor Your Progress Regularly: Keep a track on your running distance and timing daily and try to improve it.
