The Staff Selection Commission, SSC, is expected to release the provisional answer key for the General Duty (GD) Constable Exam 2026. Students who took the computer-based test are waiting for the Commission to release the provisional response sheets. SSC will release the response sheets of the candidates on the official website, which is ssc.gov.in, where the candidates will be given an option to download their response sheet to calculate their marks. The SSC GD Exam was conducted from April 27, 2026, to May 30, 2026.

The total number of candidates who appeared for the SSC GD Exam from April 27 to May 30 was approximately 40 lakh candidates. The commission conducted this exam to fill 25487 vacancies at various posts.

Once the SSC releases the SSC GD Answer Key 2026 on the official website, candidates can download their response sheets. To make sure candidates can download the answer key without any problem, follow these simple steps:-

  • Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in

  • Look for the Answer Key tab, which will appear on the homepage.

  • Click on the notification link titled Constable GD Exam 2026 Response Sheet.

  • A login window will open. Enter the registration number and password exactly as written on the Admit Card, and correctly enter the password.

  • Your Answer Key, along with the marked responses, will open on the screen. Save it or print it out for future reference.

SSC GD Answer Key 2026: How to Calculate Scores and Raise Objections Online

The provisional SSC GD answer Key gives a chance to calculate their marks and raise objections, if any, on the official website, before the final results are announced. The SSC GD computer-based exam consisted of 80 questions, each section having 20 questions of 40 marks for each section. The total marks for the paper are 160.

  • For every correct answer, the candidate will get 2 marks.

  • For every wrong answer, the commission will deduct 0.25 marks.

The candidates will have to calculate their estimated marks using the marking system. If they find any errors, they can raise objections to the answer key at the official website. The candidates will have to pay a fee as decided by the commission, and the process will be open for a few days.
