School Holiday on 3 February 2026 (Tuesday): There might be a school holiday on February 3, 2026 in Jajpur, town of Odhisha due to President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the district. Students from Jammu & Kashmir winter zone can check with their local authorities for the winter break extension due to heavy snowfall across the region. Usually, the school for winter zones is closed due to prolonged winter breaks and heavy snowfall in the areas.

Due to the President’s high-profile visit in Jajpur town in Odisha, all schools will be closed on February 3, 2026 in the district as per the notification released by the District Education Officer (DEO).

The closure is to facilitate smooth arrangements and public safety for the high-profile visit. 

Jammu & Kashmir Winter Breaks Continues 

Schools in Jammu & Kashmir for winter zone are announced for longer winter break till February 28, 2026. 

  • For classes 1-8:  schools will be closed till Feb 28, 2026. 

  • For classes 9-12: Schools will be closed till Feb, 22, 2026.

There won’t be any changes for scheduled board exams, schools will function normally to conduct board exams in this zone.

Uttar Pradesh School Functions Normally After Winter-Break

After the long winter break and Magh Mela break in Prayagraj and districts in Uttar Pradesh, schools have reopened across the state and are scheduled to function normally. 

There is no school holiday for today and tomorrow, schools in Uttar Pradesh across various districts will be functioning usually without restrictions. 

Punjab and Haryana School Update 

Almost all schools in Punjab and Haryana will be functioning after the winter break. There might be some exceptions due to local or regional events. For that students and parents can contact their respective school for closure updates. 

Maharashtra School Holiday Update 

Schools in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Nagpur, and Pune will be functioning with no restriction. Some schools may observe holidays due to local events, or exam related closures. It will be notified to students through official channels and government notifications. 

Previously due to civic events and the state government announcement of a three day mourning period for Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s sudden death, all schools in the state were observing the school holiday.
