Reason Why Schools and Colleges Closed in Kashmir
As per media reports, the authorities in the Kashmir valley have announced school and college closure today and tomorrow. The shutdown will be in effect from Monday, March 2, 2026 to March 3, 2026. Due to the recent airstrike on Iran by US- Israel, and the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has caused political tension and sensitized the public sentiments. The order came precautionary to maintain law and order across the region. The classes have been suspended and may impact school students, students who will be appearing for board exams and college students.
The school was scheduled to be re-open for classes 9-12 after a long winter break in the valley due to extreme weather.
