Coal India MT Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualifications for Coal India recruitment 2026 vary according to the post candidates are applying for. They should also be within the applicable age limit to apply for their respective disciplines.

1. Educational Qualifications

• For Company Secretary posts applicants should have a graduate degree in any discipline along with a valid Company Secretary qualification. They must also be an Associate Member or Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

• For Rajbhasha posts candidates must have a Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi with a minimum of 60% marks. Alternatively candidates holding a bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as core subjects and at least 50% marks are also eligible to apply.

2. Age Criteria The upper age limit for General and EWS candidates is 30 years. However candidates belonging to the OBC category are eligible for age relaxation of 3 years while SC and ST candidates are provided relaxation of 5 years. In the case of PwBD candidates the age relaxation is extended up to 10 years as per government norms. 

Coal India MT Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The examination will be conducted in two papers, each comprising 100 objective-type questions. Every correct answer will carry one mark. The first paper will cover subjects such as General Knowledge and Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and General English. The total duration of the examination will be three hours. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers, and no penalty will be applied for unanswered questions.
