The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official AFCAT 02/2026 result on its official website. The cutoff for the AFCAT 02/2026 has been released on the official website, i.e., afcat.edcil.co.in. The cutoff for the AFCAT exam is released in two stages: one is the written exam stage, and the other is the final cutoff once the candidate has qualified all the stages. The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) scores candidates out of 300 total marks across Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches. Those candidates who score marks equal to or above the determined cutoff are then called for the next stage of the selection process, which is the AFSB interview.

Factors Determining The Official AFACT 2 Cutoff Marks

The cutoff marks for the exam are determined based on various factors. The factors that play an important role are as follows:-

• The overall difficulty level of the exam is based on the complexity across various subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. 
• The total number of candidates who appeared for the exam is also an important factor determining the cutoff marks. The increase or decrease in the number of candidates who appeared for the exam causes variations.
• The total number of vacancies offered. Variation in the branch-wise vacancies across flying and Ground Duty arms also influences the selection of candidates.
• The normalisation process is also an important factor in determining the cutoff marks.
