Himachal Pradesh School Holidays: Schools Closed until September 7 Amidst Heavy Rainfall
School Holiday on September 5 for Id-e-Milad
Id-e-Milad, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, will be celebrated on September 5 and 6, 2025. On this occasion, schools in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu are expected to remain closed. In northeastern states like Sikkim and Manipur, the festival may also overlap with Indrajatra, giving students an additional holiday.
Schools Closed on September 6 Due to Ganesh Visarjan
Schools and colleges across Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Medchal–Malkajgiri districts in Telangana will remain closed on Saturday, September 6, 2025, as the Ganesh Visarjan procession unfolds. This has been declared a general holiday by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao. To compensate, all institutions will resume on September 11, the second Saturday, which will now be a working day
