Ranchi School Holiday: As per reports, a recent notification has been issued stating that the Ranchi district has been marked as a Yellow Zone. Warnings have also been issued for severe cold and cold waves in the region. Considering this, the Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate, Ranchi, has issued guidelines for schools, students and teachers. 

Teaching and learning activities for students from KG to class 6 are suspended from January 12 to 14, 2026. Classes for students from classes 7 to 12 will begin at 10 AM. According to the notification, all private schools are required to follow the directive strictly. 

As per reports, if any school has scheduled exams during this period, it has been asked to conduct them at its discretion. All parents, students and school management are also required to take necessary precautionary steps to protect themselves from the cold and also prioritise the safety of children.

Noida Schools Closed Till January 15 Due to Cold Weather

According to reports, schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh, have been ordered to remain closed for students until class 8 till January 15, 2026. The order is applicable for CBSE, CISCE, and Uttar Pradesh state board schools, along with other recognised schools in the district. 

The order has been issued following the directives of the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddha Nagar, ensuring students' safety and welfare. All educational institutions are also advised to follow the directive.
