Maharashtra State opens help centres for MHT CET students in all 36 districts. Centres to help guide students with the admission process through CET, scholarship scheme etc.

According to a latest post by Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, the state government will set up facilitation centres in every district to provide students with reliable guidance on Common Entrance Test (CET), CAP (Centralised Admission Process), Scholarship Schemes and admission-related procedures.

In a post on social media, the minister stated that a meeting was held to review the progress of the Student Help Centres being set up through the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell.

A total of 40 Student Help Centres are being established across all 36 districts in the state to provide students with easy, prompt and effective guidance regarding the admission process. Out of the 40, 26 centres have been completed, and 6 are in the final stages. Work on the remaining centres is in progress rapidly and will soon be operational, he stated. 

The centres are in place for students, especially those from rural and remote areas so that they do not need to travel to cities for admission-related work nd information. The centres will provide detailed information on the admission process, scholarship schemes and other guidance equired within the students own district, he further added.

The government is committed to ensuring that students and parents face no difficulties in the admission process, and the help centres will play a major role in this regard, he assured.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department, B. Venu Gopal Reddy, Commissioner of the State Common Entrance Test Cell Dilip Sardesai, Director of Higher Education Dr Shailendra Devlanikar, Director of Technical Education Dr. Vinod Mohitekar, and related officials also attended the meeting.
