CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a new notification regarding the exams being conducted in the Middle East. Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region due to the Iran-Israel war, the CBSE has decided to cancel and postpone a few of the exams for class 10 and class 12 students.
The CBSE has issued special directives for the Class 10 and Class 12 students. According to the official notification released, while the CBSE 10th exam in the Middle East region (Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are cancelled until further notice, the board has decided to postpone the CBSE class 12 examinations and conduct the same at a revised schedule. Any confirmation regarding the revised schedule for the exams will be provided by the board officials shortly.
CBSE board exam 2026 has been postponed for class 10 and class 12 students from March 2, 2026 onwards, owing to the conflict in the Middle East. While earlier the exams were postponed for exams conducted on March 2, 2026, for students from class 10 and 12, the board further issued a notification regarding the CBSE class 10, 12 exams postponed from March 5 onwards.

CBSE Class 10 Exams Cancelled
According to the new notification issued, all examinations for class 10 students to be conducted from March 7 to 11, 2026 stand cancelled. The exams to be conducted on March 2, 3 and 6, which were earlier announced as postponed, are also cancelled for the class 10 students. The notification further adds that the mode of declaration of results for Class X candidates in the Middle East will be notified separately in due course.
CBSE Class 12 Exam 2026 Postponed
For the CBSE class 12 students, however, the examination scheduled on Saturday, March 7, 2026, has been postponed. The revised dates will be announced later. The board has further announced that it will review the situation on Saturday, March 7, 2026 and issue appropriate directions regarding examinations scheduled from Monday, March 9, 2026, onwards. All class 12 students have also been asked to stay in touch with the school and the board for any latest updates on the board exam.
