The ICC Hall of Fame for 2025 proudly inducted seven legendary cricketers at a grand London ceremony. This year's Class of 2025 includes five male and two female players, bringing the total honourees to 122. Selected by existing Hall of Fame members, these individuals are recognised for their outstanding contributions and indelible mark on cricket's legacy. The inductees include Matthew Hayden, Hashim Amla, MS Dhoni, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Sana Mir, and Sarah Taylor, each celebrated for their remarkable careers and inspiring performances.

 In a grand ceremony held at the Abbey Road Studios in London, the International Cricket Council (ICC) proudly welcomed seven legendary players into the ICC Hall of Fame for 2025. In 2025, the ICC includes five male players and two female players for their outstanding performance in cricket tournaments. Their induction as part of the Class of 2025 brings the total number of Hall of Fame honours to 122 players. These players were chosen through a selection process involving existing Hall of Fame members.

Mr. Jay Shah, ICC Chairman, said, “Through the ICC Hall of Fame, we pay tribute to the finest players the game has seen, individuals whose remarkable careers have shaped cricket's legacy and inspired generations.”

The ICC Hall of Fame pays tribute to extraordinary players in cricket tournaments who achieved legendary records in cricket for their last five years of outstanding individual performances.

The ICC Hall of Fame was launched in 2009 as a part of the ICC’s centenary celebrations. Since then, the ICC has celebrated the Fame every year for the greatest player in the cricket tournament.

Matthew Hayden

103 Tests – 8,625 runs at an average of 50.73
161 ODIs – 6,133 runs at an average of 43.80
9 T20Is – 308 runs at an average of 51.33

Matthew Hayden, who is a powerful opening batter of the Australian team, intimidated the fastest bowlers in the world with his batting. This left-handed batsman gives outstanding performances in cricket tournaments, and in the 2007 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, he smashed three centuries continuously to finish the tournament.

Hashim Amla

124 Tests – 9,282 runs at an average of 46.64
181 ODIs – 8,113 runs at an average of 49.46
44 T20Is – 1,277 runs at an average of 33.60

Hashim Amla was the top-order batter from the South African team. He is very calm and composed in his batting style. His consistency and reliability in the batting made South Africa the No. 1-ranked team in Test cricket during his long tenure in cricket.

MS Dhoni

90 Tests – 4,876 runs at an average of 38.08, 294 dismissals
350 ODIs – 10,773 runs at an average of 50.57, 444 dismissals
98 T20Is – 1,617 runs at an average of 37.60, 91 dismissals

MS Dhoni was one of the coolest captains from all over the world. His helicopter shot, when he hit in the final match of the ICC Men’s World Cup tournaments in 2011, made the winning shot for the team India. As the captain of Team India, Dhoni earned all three ICC tournament formats, which are the ICC Men’s T-20 in 2007, the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. In his captaincy, India ranked 1 in the cricket tournament globally. 

Graeme Smith

117 Tests – 9,265 runs at an average of 48.25, 8 wickets
197 ODIs – 6,989 runs at an average of 37.98, 18 wickets
33 T20Is – 982 runs at an average of 31.67

Graeme Smith, who was a powerful opening batter of the South African team. He smashed many faster bowlers, and he was also arguably an even better captain. During his career, he was an uncompromising top-order batter, and at the young age of 22, he was given the responsibility of the South Africa team as a captain.

Daniel Vettori

113 Tests – 4,531 runs at an average of 30.00, 362 wickets
295 ODIs – 2,253 runs at an average of 17.33, 305 wickets
34 T20Is – 205 runs at an average of 12.81, 38 wickets

Daniel Vettori was an outstanding left-arm spin bowler for the New Zealand team. He was an excellent captain for the Kiwis team (New Zealand) and he led to the final of the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2009.

Sana Mir

120 ODIs – 1,630 runs at an average of 17.91, 151 wickets
106 T20Is – 802 runs at an average of 14.07, 89 wickets

Sana Mir was one of the outstanding spinners from the Pakistan Women's team, and she is the only player from Pakistan who is selected for the ICC Hall of Fame. 

Sarah Taylor

10 Tests – 300 runs at an average of 18.75, 20 dismissals
126 ODIs – 4,056 runs at an average of 38.26, 138 dismissals
90 T20Is – 2,177 runs at an average of 29.02, 74 dismissals

Sarah Taylor is one of the most talented female players on the England team. She played a major role in helping England to win the double ICC titles in 2009, the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
