WBPSC Miscellaneous Recruitment 2026: The Public Service Commission, West Bengal (WBPSC) has released recruitment notification for the Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination. The Commission will filled various posts including Assistant Child Development Project Officer, Disaster Management Officer/Block Disaster Management Officer, Block Youth Officer/Municipal Youth Officer/Borough Youth Officer, Block Welfare Officer/Welfare Officer, Inspector, Backward Classes Welfare, Assistant Agricultural Marketing Officer (Administrative), Assistant Programme Officer, Controller of Correctional Services, Inspector of Agricultural Income Tax, Consumer Welfare Officer, Savings Development Officer, Posts in West Bengal Subordinate Labour Service, Auditor of Co-operative Societies, Assistant Auditor, Board of Revenue, Extension Officer, Mass Education Extension, Lady Extension Officer, Mass Education Extension, Assistant Controller of Correctional Services, Investigating Inspector, Revenue Inspector and certain other posts.
Selection for these posts will be done on the basis of performance of candidates in the examination to be held in three successive stages including Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), Final Examination (Conventional Type – Written) and followed by Personality Test. WBPSC Miscellaneous 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these posts, candidates should have fulfilled the posts wise eligibility as mentioned in the notification.
- Candidates should have a degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali) – vide Finance Department’s Notification No.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.
- Knowledge of Bengali will be tested for candidates whose mother tongue is other than Bengali/Nepali at the time of Personality Test. Candidature of the candidates with average and/poor performance in the said knowledge of Bengali
- The test will be liable to be cancelled.
