About TG EAPCET Exam

The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) is a highly competitive state-level entrance exam. Formerly known as TS EAMCET, the name was recently updated to better reflect the pharmacy (P) stream inclusion.

Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The exam is designed to test a student's conceptual clarity and speed. It is a 3-hour computer-based test comprising 160 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

• Engineering Stream: 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 in Physics, and 40 in Chemistry.

• Agriculture & Pharmacy Stream: 80 questions in Biology (Botany & Zoology), 40 in Physics, and 40 in Chemistry.

• Marking: Each correct answer earns +1 mark. There is no negative marking, making it essential for students to attempt all questions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.

• Academic: Applicants must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with the relevant subjects (MPC for Engineering; BiPC for Agriculture/Pharmacy).

• Age Limit: Candidates should generally be at least 16 years old as of December 31, 2026 (17 years for certain courses like PharmD).

This year, the TGCHE has introduced a student-friendly feature: Instant Scores. For the first time, candidates will be able to see their temporary scores on the screen immediately after finishing the Computer-Based Test. While the final rank will be based on normalised marks, this instant feedback will help students gauge their performance right away.
