Assam TET Notification 2026: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and the Department of School Education have released the notification for the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. The Assam TET Exam 2026 will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools across the state, specifically for Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium schools.

Assam TET Notification 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for Assam TET 2026 must fulfil all the eligibility criteria, such as educational qualification and age limit. Check the details below
Lower Primary (Classes I-V): Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Alternatively, Graduation with a B.Ed is also accepted, provided the candidate completes a bridge course after appointment.
Upper Primary (Classes VI-VIII): A Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. or 2-year D.El.Ed. is required. Candidates with a 4-year B.El.Ed or BA/B.Sc.Ed are also eligible.

Assam STET Application Fee 2026

Candidates applying for Assam TET 2026 must pay the category-wise application fee for both Paper I and Paper II, separately. Check the details below for application fees

• General Category: Rs. 550 per paper.
• SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs. 450 per paper.
• PWD (PH): Rs. 300 per paper.
