India is set for two more bronze medal opportunities in athletics, with Tejaswin Shankar competing in the Men’s Decathlon 1500m and Parul Chaudhary in the Women’s 3000m Steeplechase final. Both events are scheduled to begin shortly.

India’s Animesh Kujur finished fifth in the Men’s 200m final with a time of 20.80 seconds. Thailand’s Puripol Boonson won the gold medal with 19.88 seconds.

India’s Narender defeated Thailand’s Saengtep Adthapong by RSC in the Men’s +90kg quarterfinal. With the win, Narender has advanced to the semifinals and assured India of a medal.

India’s Harita Bhadra won the bronze medal in the Women’s 200m final with a time of 23.20 seconds. Menahwile, Unnathi Aiyappa Bolland finished sixth with 23.46 seconds.

India’s Sachin lost 0-5 to Japan’s Shunsuke Kitamoto in the Men’s 60kg quarterfinal.

India’s women’s hockey team is currently facing Singapore in the Pool B match. The match is underway, with the score currently 0-0.

India’s Parveen defeated Uzbekistan’s Navbakhor Khamidova 5-0 in the Women’s 65kg quarterfinal. Parveen dominated all three rounds, winning them 4-1, 5-0 and 5-0.

India defeated Vietnam 3-0 in the Men's Preliminary Round - Pool C. India won the three sets 25-23, 25-21 and 25-20. 

Another heartbreak for India in squash as Anahat Singh lost 0-3 to Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam in the Women’s Singles final. Anahat settles for the silver medal.

India’s Ancy Sojan Edappilly and Shaili Singh will compete in the Women’s Long Jump final. The gold medal event is scheduled to start at 3:25 PM IST.

India’s Abhay Singh lost 0-3 to Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng in the Men’s Singles final at the Asian Games 2026. Abhay lost in three games 9-11, 5-11 and 5-11 to settle for the silver medal.

India’s Anahat Singh will face Sivasangari Subramaniam in the Women’s Singles final. The gold medal match is expected to start at 1:30 PM IST.

India lost to the Philippines 0-2 in the Women's Doubles Preliminary Group B match. India lost both sets 12-15 and 6-15. The result is currently provisional.

The Women's 69kg weightlifting gold medal event is set to begin soon at the Asian Games 2026. India's Harjinder Kaur will compete in the event.

India suffered a 35-45 defeat against Uzbekistan in the Women's Sabre Team quarterfinals. The loss ends India's run in the event.

In another badminton disappointment for India, Unnati Hooda lost to Japan's Akane Yamaguchi 1-2 in the Women's Singles quarterfinals. Yamaguchi won the match by 21-16, 14-21, 21-17.

India's Murali Sreeshankar and David Solomon Patturaj qualified for the next round of the Men's Long Jump. Sreeshankar finished second with a best jump of 7.84m, while Patturaj finished third with 7.62m. Uzbekistan's Anvar Anvarov led the qualification with 8.00m.

India's Santhosh Kumar Tamilarasan and Vithya Ramraj qualified for the next round of the Men's and Women's 400m Hurdles respectively. Santhosh finished second in the men's Round 1 with a time of 49.61 seconds, while Vithya also finished second in the women's Round 1 with 55.73 seconds.

India's Vishal suffered a 0-5 defeat against Kunathip Yea-On of Thailand in the Men's +90kg quarterfinals.

India defeated Vietnam 6-0 in the Recurve Mixed Team quarterfinals at the Asian Games 2026. 

India's Yash Kumar Chauhan suffered a 0-10 defeat against Shakarmamad Mirmamadov of Tajikistan in the Men's +90kg Round of 16 of Kurash.

The Equestrian Dressage Individual Final is currently underway at the Asian Games 2026. The event is a gold medal event with India's Hriday Vipul Chheda and Jai Sud among the 15 competitors.

Hriday Chheda is currently in 5th place with a score of 72.680, while Jai Sud is 6th with 71.490.

India defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) 6-0 in the Recurve Mixed Team 1/8 Eliminations.

India's Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand Pullela suffered a disappointing defeat against Malaysia's Pearly Koong Le Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan in the Women's Doubles quarterfinals by 21-18 and 21-9. 

Manju Rani of India finished sixth in the Women's Marathon Race Walk Final at the Asian Games 2026 with a time of 3:40:17. Priyanka Goswami was disqualified at the 9-kilometer mark during the event.

India's Sangita suffered a defeat against Charmea Quelino of the Philippines in the Women's 57kg Round of 32 at the Asian Games 2026. She lost the bout 0-10.

India Women’s team also advanced to the semifinals of Compound Team event in archery after defeating Mongolia 238-223 in the 1/8 eliminations and Kazakhstan 233-230 in the quarterfinals at the Asian Games 2026. 

India advanced to the semifinals of the Men's Compound Team event in archery after defeating the United Arab Emirates 235-215 in the 1/8 eliminations and Bhutan 235-232 in the quarterfinals at the Asian Games 2026.

India's Kamali Prakash started Day 9 of the Asian Games 2026 with a win in surfing. She defeated Singapore's Camille Marie Spaccarotella 7.57 to 4.50 in the Women's Shortboard Round 2.
