TG SET Exam 2026: The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG SET) is scheduled to be held on 28, 29, & 30 September 2026. The exam will be conducted in online mode i.e. it will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). The TG SET is being conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad for a total of 29 subjects. TG SET will be conducted in two shifts across three days. The e-hall tickets have already been released on the official website on 24 September. The candidates should download the hall ticket pdf and take a printout of it to appear for the examination.

TG SET Exam 2026 Highlights

The Telangana SET is a state-level examination which is conducted once in a year to assess the eligibility of the test-takers to be able to become Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across the state. It is similar to the UGC NET examination, which is conducted at the national level.

TG SET Exam Reporting Time 2026

Candidates are allowed inside the test centre from 07:30 am onwards (for the Morning Session) and from 12:30 pm onwards (for the Afternoon Session) for biometric verification. The test centre gate will be closed at 08:30 am (for the Morning Session) and at 01:30 pm (for the Afternoon Session).

TG SET Exam Day Guidelines 2026

The candidates are required to follow some guidelines on the exam day as has been outlined here:

• The candidates shall carry the TG SET Hall Ticket for verification along with at least one original (no photocopy or scanned copy) valid identification card (for Example: Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Government Employee ID and Driving License).

• The candidates who do not have clear photographs on the hall ticket will have to bring two passport size photographs for appearing in the Test with a self-undertaking attested by any Gazetted Officer.

• Candidates will be subjected to frisking to ensure that you are not carrying any electronic or any other gadgets, mobile / cellular phone, tablets, pen drives, Bluetooth devices, watch, calculator, logtables, wallet, purse, notes, charts, loose sheets or recording instruments strapped on your body or in your pockets.

• There may not be a guaranteed security facility for safekeeping of your valuable devices or personal belongings outside the examination hall.

• The check-in procedure inside the test hall includes capturing your photo and left thumb impression. This is a security feature which will verify your identity and also to check impersonation by any candidate. Therefore, it is advised not to apply any external matters like Mehandi, Ink etc. on their Hands / Foot (Bio- Metric).
