Ajit Anantrao Pawar was born on 22 July 1959 in Deolali Pravara, Ahmednagar. He was the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra & a powerful NCP leader. Pawar was the nephew of ex-CM of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar.
