The 34th monthly report on the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for May 2025 has been made public by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
The data shows a rising trend in case disposals and citizen engagement, reflecting notable advancements in grievance redressal processes across States and Union Territories. With an increase in user registrations and in contrast, more than 78,000 grievances settled in May alone, the study highlights CPGRAMS' increasing efficacy as an essential instrument for responsive governance.
Revolution in India’s Justice System
With 78,123 cases resolved, which is an increase from 57,021 in April 2025, the CPGRAMS report for May 2025, made public on June 13, shows a significant increase in the redressal of public grievances by States/UTs. The published report is an important step in the search for open and accountable governance since it identifies patterns in citizen complaints, pendency status, new user registration, and integration with Common Service Centers (CSCs).
What is CPGRAMS?
The Public Grievance Portal was started by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). Its main aim is to help people easily file complaints related to different government services.
This platform allows citizens to register their problems online and also track the status of their complaints from anywhere. It makes the whole process faster and more transparent.
The grievance portal is also connected with Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). These centres help people living in rural areas use the portal, even if they don’t have internet access or a smartphone.
Today, the platform can be used through over 5 lakh CSCs across India, making it easier for everyone, especially in villages, to raise their issues with the government in a simple digital way.

It also supports the Sevottam Scheme, which aims to improve the quality of services given to the public.
