The preliminary exam of the SBI Clerk 2026 is a speed-based online exam that is conducted across multiple shifts per day. Candidates will receive their allotted shift timings, reporting time, and test centre details on their official admit card when it is released.
Prelims Exam Structure for SBI Clerk 2026
The exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks to be completed in a strict sectional timing of 60 minutes:-
- English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks):- 20 minutes
- Numerical Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks):- 20 minutes
- Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks)- 20 minutes
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks (1/4th mark), which applies to every incorrect answer in both mains and prelims.
