RRB ALP Cut Off 2026: Check Zone-Wise, Category-Wise Cutoff Marks

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the RRB ALP Cutoff marks and results for 2026 for CEN 01/2025 of the CBT (Computer-Based Test)  ALP posts across 21 administrative zones. Those candidates who appeared for the RRB ALP Exam 2026 can now check their results and cutoff marks required to qualify for the CBT-1 stage and whether they have qualified for the next stages. The candidates scoring equal to or above the cutoff marks will be qualified for the exam. The cutoff marks are determined based on various factors like the number of candidates who appeared in the exam, past year trends and the number of vacancies for which the exam was conducted.

RRB has released the results for the exam conducted for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts on June 12, 2026. RRB ALP Cut Off 2026: Factors Affecting the Cutoff Marks

Understanding how the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) decided the cut-off marks helps us understand how our marks are calculated. The cutoff marks are not pre-decided; they are set based on various factors which influence the marking of the papers and the final merit list. As the RRB ALP 2026 exam was conducted in multiple shifts and multiple days, the Board uses normalisation methods across all shifts to decide the cutoff marks. Given below are the factors that decide the final cut-off marks before the results are released:-

• The number of vacancies released is the most powerful factor which effects the cutoff marks. The larger the number of vacancies, the larger the number of candidates participating in the exam. A higher number of vacancies usually has low cutoff marks, and a lower number of vacancies has high cutoff marks.
• The difficulty level of the exam and the normalisation process. As the RRB ALP exam is a large-scale exam, it is conducted in multiple shifts and over multiple days. Each paper conducted in different shifts has different difficulty levels, hence the board uses mormalisation process to adjust the raw scores to ensure fairness.
• The number of candidates appearing for the exam. It is also one of the most important factors that decides the final cutoff marks for the candidates who have passed the exam.
