What is the Exam Pattern for the MP Police ASI & Subedar 2026

The exam pattern for the MP Police ASI and Subedar will consist of a written test, which will be followed by a practical test.   • Duration of Exam:- 1 Hour
  • Maximum Marks:- 100
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:- 30
  • Sections in the exam: Dictation and Transcription
  • Candidates will have to appear for the two shorthand dictations (5 minutes each at 100 words per minute)
  • Candidates will have 5 minutes to revise the draft after each dictation.
  • Candidates will be given 20 minutes to type each dictation on the computer
  • Dictation will carry 10 marks each
  • Transcription will carry 40 marks
  • Mistakes are classified into Full Mistakes, which will include (wrong words, omissions, grammar errors), and Half Mistakes (mirror spelling errors and spacing).

Assistant Sub Inspector

  • Duration:- 1 hour
  • Maximum Marks:- 100 marks
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30 marks
  • Task:- Hindi typing of passages
  • There will be two Hindi passages of approximately 600 words each
  • Each passage will have to be typed in 30 minutes
  • Each passage will carry 50 marks
  • Mistakes are classified into Full Mistakes, which will include ( wrong words, omissions, grammar errors), and Half Mistakes (minor spelling errors and spacing).
  • Marks deducted will be based on the percentage of mistakes.
