Goa School Holiday October List 2026: Educational institutes in the state of Goa will be observing major holidays and festivals in the month of October 2026, as per the state education calendar. Educational institutions will begin the month of October with a compulsory national holiday on October 2, 2026 (Saturday), marking Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, and granting students and educators a long weekend. Other than the above national holidays, students and teachers will get a day off on October 20, 2026 (Monday) in observance of Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami).
Apart from the above national holidays, schools under the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) are slated to finish their first academic session by the end of the month of October 2026 and go into mid-term / Diwali break starting from October 31, 2026.
