DU Assistant Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the educational qualification, work experience and age requirements given by the University of Delhi to apply for the Assistant posts. The eligibility criteria are given below.

1. Educational Qualification and Experience

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university or institute.

• Applicants must have two years of experience as a Junior Assistant or in an equivalent post at a university, research establishment, Central/State Government, PSU or autonomous body.

• Experience in reputed private companies or corporate banks with a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 200 crore is also accepted.

• Candidates must have an English typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) or Hindi typing speed of 30 WPM.

• Proficiency in computer operations is also necessary.

2. Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for the DU Assistant Recruitment 2026 is 32 years. 

• Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories and other candidates as per the Government of India and University rules.
