The LA 2028 Olympics have announced that one million tickets will be sold for just $28, regardless of the sport, ensuring that people will be able to attend at an affordable cost.

LA28, an organization based in Los Angeles, California, has announced this plan on March 30, 2026, after 5 million people have registered.

LA 2028 Olympics Ticket will go on sale to the general public on 9 April at la28.org, and a random draw will be conducted to determine when people can buy their tickets in April 2026.

One-third of 14 million total tickets will be under $100, catering to locals near venues.

People interested in the LA 2028 Olympics Ticket can sign up to participate in a lottery, and will be sent an email to secure a time to buy a ticket. This solves past issues of expensive Olympics.

LA28 chairman Casey Wasserman highlighted their focus on inclusivity, with every sport having $28 seats in good locations.

Locals in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City get early access in line through zip code priority. AXS and Eventim are ticket sellers, with hospitality through On Location.

Registration now stands at 5 million from 194 countries, indicating worldwide excitement two years in advance.

How the LA28 Ticket Draw Works

Fans can create free accounts on la28.org, entering information to participate in a random lottery system that selects purchasing time.

Winners will receive an email between March 31st and 7th to purchase up to 12 tickets.

Unsuccessful users automatically enter future lotteries as inventory is replenished. This equitable system has prevented website crashes experienced in past Olympics.

Why Affordable Olympics Tickets Matter for the Games

The promise of cheap tickets to the Olympics follows the bigger theme of making the Los Angeles Olympics inclusive to the community and the world.

The tickets start at $28 for singles, increasing for finals, but one-third of them will be under $100. The same goes for Paralympic tickets, which follow after the Olympics.

The full list of ticket tiers will be revealed in April, with tickets available only through the official ticket website. Locals get early bird access, then the public.
