Argentina now allows visa-free entry for the U.S. Green Card holders and H-1B Indians. Learn who qualifies, when rules apply, where travel is allowed, and how this policy benefits global travelers.

Argentina now offers visa-free entry for U.S. residents with a Green Card and Indian citizens with an H-1B visa. This allows tourism and business stays without the need for prior approval.

U.S. Green Card Holders and H-1B Indians can access all points of entry, such as Buenos Aires airports and ports.

Citizens of India, China, and the Dominican Republic are eligible for this visa-free service with valid U.S. permanent resident cards and H-1B visas, B1/B2 visas, J visas, O visas, P visas, E visas, and more for up to 90 days for Indian citizens.

This was announced by Argentina's Dirección Nacional de Migraciones in an effort to boost tourism and trade by trusting the vetting process of the U.S. and requiring only a passport.

Argentina’s Visa-Free Entry policy acknowledges the use of the United States’ Green Cards and the specified Visas, allowing foreigners to enter the country without the need for the traditional visa process, promoting the relationship between the countries’ economies.

The H-1B visa Indians, mostly on business, are included in the agreement with the families on tourism, with the right to stay for up to 90 days with the requirement of showing the return tickets and money upon arrival.

This Green Card practice is in line with the global trend, using the United States’ immigration checks for security while eliminating the red tape for the over one million potential visitors annually.
